The Heatway Rally Game - New Zealand consists of a board laid out as a rally course, made up of a touring stage and a special stage. The players move tokens around the board according to the throw of a dice. Scoring is by way of "Time Score Cards" which are either added to by bonus points or taken away for penalties.

The winner is the player who has the highest score at the end of the rally.
